Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and take charge of our company's financial records and transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Responsibilities: Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately. Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions with bank statements and general ledger accounts. Payroll Processing: Manage payroll processes, including timekeeping, calculation of wages, and deductions. Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements. Prepare and distribute payroll checks or direct deposits in a timely manner. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Generate financial reports for management review and decision-making. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and timely. Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts. Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts. Track actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis. Make recommendations for cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement opportunities. Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of financial documentation for audits and regulatory examinations. Respond to inquiries and provide documentation as needed during audits. Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets proficiently to maintain accurate financial records and reports. Recommend and implement process improvements and software enhancements to streamline accounting processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Proven work experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is a plus.
