***Schultheis & Panettieri, LLP is not a staffing firm*** Position Overview: Local union in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a Full-Charge Bookkeeper who will be responsible for all accounting activities including accounts payable, billing, processing payroll, etc. This is a full-time opportunity at a labor union. Ideal candidate must be comfortable wearing many hats and be extremely detail oriented. Position Responsibilities: Accounts payable Data Entry Billing and daily deposits Processing payroll for 20+ employees Monthly/daily Reconciliations Fixed assets General Ledger maintenance Perform other duties & special projects as required Position Experience Requirements: 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred but not required Labor/Union experience a plus Position Knowledge & Skills Required: Proficient in Excel and Google GSuite computerized accounting systems Knowledge of Sage/QuickBooks/Jay-Star software a plus! High energy individual with positive attitude and great communication skills Excellent organizational, analytical & interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve and adapt to change Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Sick/Vacation time, 401(k) & Pension!
