Job details: Location : Surrey, BC Salary : 30.00 hourly / 40 hours per Week, Overtime: 45 per hour Terms of employment : Permanent employment, Full time Start date : Starts as soon as possible Vacancies : 2 vacancies Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting: Construction Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments Additional information Transportation/travel information Public transportation is available Work conditions and physical capabilities Combination of sitting, standing, walking Physically demanding Personal suitability Reliability Team player Punctuality Employment groups: This employer promotes equal employment opportunities for all job applicants, including those self-identifying as a member of these groups: Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Visible minorities, Youth Who can apply to this job?
