WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Weather Shield Roofing is a commercial roofing company operating out of West and Central Michigan, with crews in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing. Weather Shield is seeking a highly motived and detailed oriented individual to join our Estimating Team. As an estimator your responsibilities will entail creating professional estimates beginning with the initial client meeting and site assessment to creating a finished proposal. Must be willing to take a drug test and be Authorized to work in the U.S. Ability to work well in a team environment and lead by example. Perform accurate and detailed roof assessments. Accurately determine roof condition, life expectancy, and required repairs. Identify labor, materials, and time required on variety of projects involving differing roofing system types. Gather necessary information to provide roof replacement costs. Prepare accurate and complete estimating documents by imputing gathered roof assessment information based on customer needs, roof condition, code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and more. Communication and teamwork directly with Sales and Production team Overflow support for maintenance inspections and leak repairs Estimator Skills & Requirements: Commercial Roofing or Construction experience Strong technical roofing skills Knowledge of various roofing systems and products Estimating experience (preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge and ability to use computers and related technology Physically able to handle all aspects of the job including lifting a ladder and transporting materials up and down from roof.
