JOB TITLE: Food Service Assistant/Driver PROGRAM/DEPARTMENT: Summer Food Service Program JOB LOCATION: Watertown NY POSITION GRADE: 2 WORK HOURS PER WEEK: 35 - From 7/13/23 - 8/18/23 (Approximate) PAY RATE: $14.50 per hour EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Temporary/Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Assistant/Driver assists the kitchen staff in preparing meals and deliver meals to locations in Watertown and surrounding areas for the Summer Food Services Program. MINIMUM REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Required Skills: Ability to work as a member of a team. Ability to plan and organize. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of programs and agency related information. Ability to work independently and make decisions. Must be supportive and professional inworking with children and families. Other REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: Must have own transportation to the job site. Must have valid NYS driver's license free from infractions and be able to safely drive an agency van for the purpose of meal delivery to various sites in the area. Employment is contingent pending satisfactory medical exam and TB test, and background clearance at the time of hire. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time.
