Food Prep Cook

Description:
We need a food prep worker who knows their way around a kitchen with minimal supervision. You'll be responsible for stocking, preparing, and measuring condiments and slicing, dicing, and mixing foods for cooking. You'll need to follow all safety protocols in the kitchen, and keep your workstation clean and equipment sanitized for the duration of your shift. You must be able to read recipe directions and labels in English and operate a variety of kitchen equipment, including sharp knives and measuring tools. Some lifting, pulling, and bending are required. Some kitchen experience and a 2-year associate's degree are preferred but not required. If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to meet. Responsibilities: --- Follow instructions for recipes. Read meal charts and labels in English and use the measuring tools correctly --- Prepare recipes using the proper measurements needed for condiments and wash dice, and slice fruits and vegetables, and meats, for the variety of meals we prepare for customers --- Keep all prep and workstation areas organized and equipment hygienic and sanitized at closing --- Observe all company-required food safety guidelines and protocols in the areas where food is prepared and kitchen equipment is utilized --- Assist other cooks in the kitchen as needed with preparing simple recipes such as soups, sauce reduction, and brewing coffee and tea Qualifications: --- Should be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time and also bend, pull, and lift 35-50 pounds --- Basic familiarity with operating kitchen equipment --- You have the basic skills necessary to prep food for a chef/cook with minimal supervision expected --- Available to work weekends and holidays, pitching in extra hours whenever needed --- Understanding of how to read recipes, meal charts, measuring tools, and labels in English About Company: Located on the historic Ponce de Leon Ave in the heart of Atlanta, Hotel Clermont boasts 93 carefully appointed rooms with modern conveniences and splendid views.
