Job Summary: Hoskinson Contracting LLC in Gillette, WY is looking for an experienced flooring installer with Terrazzo experience. This person will work with a team that will be responsible for installing of various types of flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, carpet, tile, vinyl, and linoleum. This person will also need to have experience with Terrazzo flooring installations. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare the worksite by removing existing flooring, ensuring the subfloor is clean, level, and free from defects or irregularities, and performing necessary repairs. Measure and cut flooring materials to fit the installation area, ensuring precise fits and seamless seams. Establish layout patterns and alignment for tiles, planks, or other materials according to design specifications and customer preferences. Install subfloor materials, underlayment, or padding as needed to create a stable and level base for flooring materials. Expertly install various types of flooring materials, including but not limited to hardwood, carpet, tile, vinyl, laminate, and linoleum, according to manufacturer instructions and industry standards. Perform Terrazzo installations in various facilities including a small hospital, and warehouse. Apply adhesives, nails, staples, or other fasteners as appropriate for the specific flooring material and installation method. Seam and edge flooring materials, ensuring a clean, secure, and attractive finish. Install trim and molding, such as baseboards, transitions, and thresholds, to provide a finished look and to cover expansion gaps. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards, as well as customer expectations. Address any defects, damaged materials, or installation issues by making necessary repairs or replacements. Clean and remove debris from the worksite, leaving the area in a clean and safe condition. Adheres to department policies. Required Skills/Abilities: Physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities sufficient to perform essential functions. Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, nail guns, and adhesives. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to address installation challenges. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Strong communication skills for working with clients and team members. Commitment to safety and understanding of relevant safety guidelines and practices. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in flooring installation is highly desirable. Knowledge of various flooring materials, tools, and installation techniques. 2-3 years of Terrazzo experience Physical Requirements: Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy flooring materials and equipment Compensation: Hourly Compensation: We are offering a highly competitive, negotiated hourly rate based on experience.
