Mattinson Partnership are working closely with a reputable, boutique environmental consultancy, providing bespoke solutions for Environmental Planning and Development Projects. You would be joining a small team of experienced consultants, specialising in Environmental Impact backssment, Environmental Planning, Flood Risk backssment, Land Contamination, Water Quality Monitoring and backssment. Role Overview: As a Senior Flood Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and carrying out flood risk backssments and helping clients to manage and mitigate flood risk by providing expert technical advice and guidance. You will work as part of a team of environmental professionals, collaborating with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget. While the role is listed as a Senior Consultant, there is also opportunity for a more experienced Consultant (3-4 years’ experience) to take the step up into the role. Due to the fully remote nature, it is important that anyone more junior has experience working within a consultancy environment, as is fully set-up to work remotely and has demonstratable experience completing high-value FR projects, without supervision and to precise deadlines. Qualifications / Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant discipline (e. g. Geography, Environmental Science) 5 years’ minimum of experience in carrying out Flood Risk backssments and Flood Consequence backssments compliant with NPPF, EA and LLFA standards is essential. Knowledge of flood modelling software’s (e. g. Flood Modeller, Estry’s ISIS, Micro Drainage) Familiarity with environmental planning topics such as EIA, Environmental Permitting, Nutrient Neutrality backssment and Phase 1 Land Contamination backssment (beneficial) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and concise reports and technical documents.
