Summary Our childcare center is looking for a fun loving, caring, dependable person who loves working with children ages infant - five. This is a 40 hour a week position, Monday - Friday. Our school is located in Fairfield, CT and our school hours are 7am-5:30pm. We are looking for teachers who are looking to make the Early Childhood field their career. Duties We are looking for teachers to work full time, 40 hours a week, working as a floater. Only applicants who love working with children and have day care experience should apply. Responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher: Assist the lead teacher in providing care and supervision to toddlers and preschool-aged children Sit, Stand and bend with no problems. Lift up to 50lbs. with no problems. Support the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum Collaborate with the lead teacher in planning and organizing daily activities Assist with behavior management and provide guidance to children with special needs, including those with autism Create a safe and nurturing environment for all children Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise Assist with mealtime routines, diaper changes, and other daily care tasks as needed Skills for the Assistant Teacher 1+ years of Early Childhood experience required Experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs is preferred Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and children Strong organizational skills to assist with curriculum development and activity planning Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with young children Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors If you are passionate about providing quality care for children and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
