POSITION: FLEET SHOP FOREMAN COMANCO Environmental Corporation has an excellent opportunity for a Fleet Shop Foreman. We are looking for an energetic Fleet Shop Foreman someone who wants to work for an established and successful nation-wide construction management company with great benefits, going above and beyond in their position to help COMANCO meet its business goals. The ideal candidate for the Fleet Shop Foreman position must have prior experience working in automotive repair or relevant training from a vocational school and will: Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the facilities, yard, and storage containers. Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet shop. Manage the workflow and assign daily tasks to fleet personnel based on the needs of Operations. Inventory all returning job trailers and utilize HCSS to move equipment from the field to the yard. Ensure all vehicles and equipment are cleaned and fueled once returned to Fleet. Perform quality inspections after the equipment has been cleaned. Utilize HCSS Inspections to notate all issues or damage to vehicles and equipment. Create and assign Work Orders for all incoming inspections, repairs, and scheduled maintenance. Manage the open Work Orders and revise priorities as needed. Complete Job Requisitions for all job site loadouts or supplies used for the shop. Manage the job trailer loadouts and utilize HCSS to move equipment from the yard to the field. Ensure all equipment is properly marked prior to leaving the shop, this includes unit numbers, decals, etc. Ensure all preventive maintenance for equipment is performed at the required intervals. Ensure the security of all offices, bay doors, trailers, trucks, and the yard at the end of each day. Manage the operations at the Sam Allen Storage Yard. Manage the wrapping of extension cords. Communicate with Operations on the status of downed equipment. Assist with the shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies for the shop. Assist with moving furniture, storage of boxes, packaging, and other projects as needed. Continually work to improve shop efficiencies when repairing equipment. Cross-train new employees to ensure optimum success among members of the Fleet Department. Travel to job sites to assist as needed. The proper PPE must be worn at all times while working on equipment and the job site. Enforce safety compliance to all coworkers. Work with Fleet and Operations on the research and development of COMANCO designed equipment. Think outside the box and suggest new ideas to help improve efficiencies. Report the misuse or abuse of company assets to management. Monitor and respond to emails and phone calls, when applicable. Report Safety Observations using the HCSS QR Code. Keep your work area clean, neat, and well organized after each task and help clean the shop daily. Maintain staff by training, coaching, counseling, and reprimanding employees; provide constructive and engaging performance reviews for fleet subordinates. Be open to learning new techniques and technologies. Get prior approval for overtime or weekend work from your supervisor. Task train new hires and existing employees in the field when requested. Complete a daily coded timesheet for all tasks you have performed. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections when driving COMANCO vehicles. Operate all COMANCO vehicles in a safe and orderly manner obeying all traffic laws. Provide quality service to Operations to include remedial and corrective actions to ensure total customer satisfaction. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE: Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of one to three years related experience and/or training. Experience working in automotive repair or relevant training from a vocational school. Strong mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail are essential. Must have knowledge of shop equipment and tools. Leadership : Ability to take charge, act proactively, takes ownership, lead by example and 'set the pace', embrace challenging projects and situations, adapt to changes quickly, follow through on assignments with little supervision, perform well under pressure and demanding schedules, recognize, and solve issues effectively and quickly. Language Skills : The ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Problem Solving : Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly and gather and analyze information skillfully.
