Description:
POSITION: FLEET COORDINATOR The Fleet Coordinator is responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound emails and calls, scheduling preventative maintenance for all vehicles and equipment, coordinating fleet repairs with third-party vendors, creating purchase orders, confirming invoices, monitoring equipment service requests and inspection reports, processing documentation for new equipment purchases and disposals, and assigning GPS tracking devices to vehicles. Furthermore, the Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring DOT compliance, running DOT inspection reports, managing all DOT-related paperwork and compliance issues, notifying drivers to renew DOT physicals prior to expiration dates, auditing DOT records periodically, and preparing and submitting all DOT required reports and forms. The Fleet Coordinator will also cross-train to perform Fleet Supervisor job tasks as requested and assist with process improvement for the Fleet Department. The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED plus technical education, or three to five years of related experience in a fleet role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong language skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, as well as the ability to draft reports and business correspondence.
