Receives, tracks, and responds to Commission Office correspondence. 2. Tracks constituent communications or requests for information and coordinates with the Commission to ensure timely responses and follow ups as needed. 3. Acts as a liaison to and coordinates with the City Clerk and City Administration on Commission meeting and other official meeting agendas matters, such as proclamations, resolutions and agenda items and related reviews. 4. Assists the Commission in drafting expense and budget related reports. 5. In close coordination and under the direction of the Commission responds to inquiries made of the Commission Office by neighborhood associations, City residents and businesses regarding issues, concerns and problems impacting those groups. 6. As assigned, represents Commissioners at various community events and forums; and attends such events either individually in representation of the Commission or with Commissioners to assist Commissioners in carrying out their duties. 7. In coordination with other Commission staff manages Commissioner’s schedules, to include scheduling of meetings, planning travel and coordinating post meeting/travel follow ups. 8. Manages special projects assigned by Commissioners. 9. Performs other related duties as assigned including but not limited to general administrative functions of the Commission Office. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma of GED (education will be verified using the “Education Requirements” listed below) and three (3) years of related working experience in government and/or community relations, or any equivalent combination of training and experience Skilled in using computerized systems and related software a must. A current and valid Florida driver’s license is required. For application purposes, a valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license within thirty (30) days from date of employment. ALTERNATE QUALIFICATIONS - Associate degree with a major in Public Administration, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field and one (1) year of related working experience in government and/or community relations; or, - Bachelor’s degree with a major in Public Administration, Public Relations, Political Science, or related field. Skilled in using computerized systems and related software a must.
