Salary: $13.00 - $16.00 Hourly Location: Logan, Utah Job Type: Part-Time Department: Fire FSA Status: Non-Exempt Appointed Position: No Job Number: 20-66 Closing Date: When Filled Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Performing a variety of fire suppression activities at the fire scene, including laying and connecting hose, holding nozzles and directing water streams, raising and climbing ladders. Operating fire suppression and/or emergency assistance equipment. Performing emergency rescue activities at emergency scenes. Performing fire safety inspections and identifying code violations. Perform inter-facility transports and EMS or Fire standby assignments. Administer First Aid at emergency scenes. Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalency. Must be able-bodied and capable of speaking and writing the English language. Must be a citizen of the United States or be eligible to work within the United States. Must pass a pre-employment background and reference check, and a pre-employment drug screen. Must be currently certified as a Utah and/or National Registry AEMT. Must be certified as Firefighter I and II and HazMat Awareness Ops. Wildland red card is optional. Must have a valid driver license. Desirable qualifications and certifications include certified Haz-Mat Technician and/or Technical Rescue Certificate. May be scheduled to work an average of up to 30 hours per week. Part-time employees may not work in excess of 1,560 hours in any calendar year.
