Avalon Fire Protection, a leading Fire Protection company based in the Orange County area, is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. We are a fast-growing company servicing residential and commercial customers throughout Southern California. Candidates must be experienced in the following areas: Reviewing construction project plans, requirements, drawings and specifications. Prepare cost estimates and determine project constructability. Research material pricing and comply with codes and permits per NFPA 13. Assist with scheduling fitters. Establish contact with potential clients of fire protection inspection services by efficiently scheduling sales calls, quickly following up on leads after they are provided, and assisting customers identify fire life safety needs. Keep in communication with existing client base to potentially upsell and cross sell additional services not currently provided. Conducting site surveys of customer locations and review with the Avalon Management to develop appropriate pricing and presentation plan. Prepare proposals and contracts per company procedure requirements with any pertinent information required to complete technician dispatching, report submitting, record keeping, and client billing, is provided accurately and on a timely manner. Develop and maintain an active proposal pipeline to support current department needs and future growth opportunities. Maintain and report sales business plan to Avalon Management during monthly sales call. Develop an understanding of assigned Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler market and services provided to customers within assigned territory. Establish customer contact and relationship through memberships of industry organizations such as BOMA, Chamber of Commerce, NFPA, and CAFAA. Minimum Qualifications: High Pile storage and Racking Fire Sprinklers knowledge a plus. ยท 3 Plus years of Fire Sprinkler designing experience recommended but not required. Three or more years of successful sales experience preferably with Fire Protection/ Life Safety services and systems. BA degree in business or related field is a plus, but not required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed while providing the highest level of customer service and industry knowledge. Ability to work well within a team and independently as needed. Proven ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously and to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in an office environment to produce necessary paperwork and maintain required files on an electronic data system. Ability to operate all required software to produce desired reports in an accurate and timely manner. Receive and deliver clear and concise directions to successfully complete assigned projects. Capable of completing all required daily, weekly, and monthly duties in a timely and effective manner with little or no corrections from upper management. Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting complex documents that are required to complete the scheduled workload. Possess exceptional interpersonal and complaint resolution skills to positively respond to all inquiries and/or complaints from our clients or the President. Ability to anticipate and reason out problems that will prohibit the effective workflow and competition of the Estimating/ Project Management Department in the absence of the President. Make decisions that resolve problems in calm and productive way. Maintain confidentiality and be above reproach with regards to all Avalon Fire Protection financial and proprietary information. Must have own transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance. Able to prove eligibility for employment in the United States.
