Fire Hydrant Painter (4 Openings) The position is responsible for providing routine maintenance and painting of the fire hydrants throughout the City, as required by the Novi Fire Department. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties related to the basic maintenance of City fire hydrants under the purview of the Fire Department, to include: Properly use and maintain assigned hand tools, small equipment and vehicles. Perform hydrant checks and minor maintenance duties. Perform hydrant painting. Perform routine maintenance on and around the fire hydrants. Perform all other assigned maintenance-related tasks: to include, but not limited to assistance with city parks, water and sewer, and municipal property functions Effectively communicate to supervisors and peers about possible hazards related to assigned maintenance tasks.
