Financial Analyst (Cb2)

Description:
Role:The plant financialanalyst position functions as a business support person to the plant and financial management team.The role willbe instrumental in bringing analytical analyses to leadership team to enable decisions that directly impact business performance and outcomes.The position supports month-end close and special projects as requested, and works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost divers and variances.This position will provide accounting support through review and validation of material transactions and processes to increase the accuracy of our financial statements. This position provides the candidate with opportunities to identify, lead, and drive process improvements, while working in a team environment and interact with multiple functions across the organization.Responsibilities:Work to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures.Analyze financial performance and create action plans for unfavorable gaps.Prepare and process assigned daily/monthly journal entries.Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicatorsSupportthe local plant budgeting process ofthefixed and variableexpenses.Assist with cycle counting coordination and record inventory adjustmentsAnalyze product manufacturing costPartner with inventory control in investigating inventory discrepancies and create action plans to resolve identified gaps.Support Plant Controller s efforts for implementing and maintaining internal controls.Identify areas for continuous improvement and or cost reduction and making recommendationsBack up other dutiesasneededConduct all activities in a professional manner and positive attitude with an emphasis on personal responsibility and our Core ValuesThe above list is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldrequiredKnowledge or experience in meat or food processing industry preferred but not requiredStrong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detailsProficient to Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, namely ExcelSAP experience is a +Excellent problem solving skillsAction oriented with ability to multi-taskTeam player with a positive, can do attitude and agility to multiple work streamsTravel:0% 5%. Travel is possible, but rare.Physical Demands/Work Environment:This role is based in a processing facility and individuals in this role are expected to spend time on the plant floor.While at the facility, employee will be subject to extreme temperatures, humid/wet environments and other hazards common to a food manufacturing facilityThe Company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
