Our partner is seeking a highly experienced Field Telecom Technician II to join their growing team in Perth, Australia. This role requires extensive travel, including land, offshore and international locations. The Field Telecom Technician II will be responsible for overseeing equipment installation, maintenance, and updates for remote communications systems for the needs of their customers in the Energy, Mining, and Maritime industries. Key Responsibilities for the Field Telecom Technician II: - Install, troubleshoot, and assemble fixed/stabilized GEO/LEO/MEO VSAT systems, L-band systems, LTE systems, and IT/network equipment. - Conduct testing and equipment assembly in the workshop as required. - Configure, install, and troubleshoot various equipment, including routers, switches, access points, phones, VSAT antennas, modems, and cabling. - Use of various testing equipment spectrum analyzers, DVMs, cable testers, etc. - Perform day-to-day preventative maintenance and repair of VSAT hardware. - Collaborate with clients and service providers to resolve complex network-related issues. - Ability to train and mentor junior technicians on deployed hardware and technology and assist remotely when necessary. - Interpret engineering drawings for installation, troubleshooting, and repair. - Partner with engineering and product development teams to review and test new VSAT technology. - Provide remote customer support. - Prepare and dispatch equipment and hardware to installation sites. - Develop and maintain comprehensive.
