Field Support Engineer Asphalt Materials, Inc., formed in 1956, has been continually focused on the asphalt business . We are a part of the Heritage Construction and Materials group, a customer-focused, innovative provider of high-quality road construction materials and services. We are seeking a Field Engineer to support our growing business. This is an exciting opportunity and in this role, you will manage Specialty Products portfolio of material applications and installations in the MN, IA and WI territories. Job Summary : You will collaborate with work team for on-site project delivery and coordinate with contractor and/or applicator regarding planning and scheduling to meet project phase(s) and sequence. Your Impact: Manage all aspects of project application field delivery for Specialty Products. Facilitate agency, contractor and applicator training and development to ensure proper product applications to meet or exceeding all quality standards while adhering to all safety protocols Record and file field reports Identify relevant projects, maintain project plans, project tracking, produce project profiles, related documents, and summary reports along with periodic project review inspections Plan and execute travel schedules to support multiple and simultaneous project activities What you will bring: Understanding of Federal Highway, State Agency, Municipal and Local road authority construction plans, specifications, and bidding documents, plans and proposals Experience with successful project management, inclusive of project estimates for material requirements and deliverables Ability to travel at peak of highway paving construction season, inclusive of overnight travel Customer focused Collaborative Creative thinking and problem solving Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science or Construction Management, Civil Engineer or related strongly preferred Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience Hot mix asphalt or field paving experience highly desired Certified Contractor for State Highway Contract Projects or as Resident Engineer with State Department of Transportation or similar relevant work experience EOE/M/W/Vet/Disabled/PDA
