DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen Field Supervisor Primary Function Field Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the Company projects are completed on time and on budget as specified at or above the projected gross margin the job was originally estimated at. In addition, "Scope of Work" is completed to the standards that the Company maintains as well as true to our mission and in alignment with our core and code of values. Major Responsibilities Maintain open, daily communication with OPM, field staff and client. Manages the Change Order process once projects have begun. Holds responsibility for success of assigned projects, including project planning, safety and general oversight Manages and controls project costs. Fosters an enthusiastic, creative, "can do" attitude, and shares this responsibility with his production team in reaching its production goals. Develop production team and be involved in hiring process for additional field staff. Skills & Experience Worked in project management for minimum of 3 years in a general contracting company BS or BA degree preferable in construction management, or experience equivalent Thorough understanding of construction specifications both within Company and the industry. Understands design intent and work through low levels of detail, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Can visualize in three dimensions from two-dimensional data. Computer literacy – computer estimating, basic competency in MS Word and Excel and industry specific software for managing change order, job cost and related project commitments. Proactive, flexible, team player who is comfortable working in a small company environment to lead, manage and be accountable for their responsibilities. Highly motivated, self-starter Organized, with excellent time management skills Good verbal and written communication skills Able to work in it and on it simultaneously Able to take coaching and feedback Objectives / Results Maintains open, daily communication with OPM, field staff and client Ensures Daily Logs and Time Clock submittals by 9am next business day. Communicates daily with Lead Carpenter on progress of job and "take temp" of client. Adjusts production schedule daily as to who and where each carpenter/trade will be working and on what job and for how long. Next day status communicated by text/email to LCs by 5pm. Manages the Change Order process from start through completion of project Produce finished Change Order by end of day including notifying Sales Manager when required and ensures that proper authorization has been received. Holds responsibility for success of projects assigned, including project planning, safety, and general oversight Responsible for coordinating all necessary inspections during a project with the proper agency and immediate action on any correction notices. Responsible to review assigned projects for overall understanding, create project calendar, and assign trades to tasks. Responsible for required safety meetings at biweekly staff meeting in accordance with OSHA standards and making sure production team is compliant with Company safety policies. Responsible for production of project in accordance with original job specifications as outlined in the contract. Performs regular update meetings with production team and Operations Manager Meet with Lead Carpenter to go over job costing once project is completed. Meet with OPS Manager weekly; come prepared to review project schedule and 4 Week Look-Ahead to this meeting. Prepared to discuss the general flow of the jobs, job reviews, personnel, sub-contractor relations and equipment and the general wellbeing of assigned projects. Prepared with critical production numbers. Fosters an enthusiastic, creative, "can do" attitude, and shares the responsibility for the Company and overall team success in reaching its goals Actively track and interface with field employee's performance and take any corrective action for improved performance or removal of employee if performance is substandard. Provides feedback and training where appropriate on the qualifications of employee to perform on the job according to the position description and in compliance within Company accepted procedures. Seeks out training and course work for Professional Advancement in Leadership, Management, and Industry technology advances. Participate in hiring trades, subcontractor labor and inhouse labor Responsible for enough trades to meet Company minimums.
