Practice Area: Insurance Coverage,Litigation - Construction - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 7 Years, Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fidelity and Surety Counsel with a background in commercial litigation. The ideal candidate should possess at least 7 years of experience, demonstrating expertise in litigating cases within the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey. Knowledge and experience in surety, construction litigation, and/or insurance coverage matters are advantageous. Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars is a mandatory requirement for this role.Duties:Conducting legal research and analysis related to fidelity and surety matters.Representing clients in federal and state courts in New York and New Jersey.Handling cases involving commercial litigation, surety, construction litigation, and insurance coverage matters.Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.Providing legal advice and counsel to clients on fidelity and surety issues.Participating in negotiations, mediations, and settlements.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of experience as a commercial litigator.Significant experience in litigating cases in the federal and state courts of New York and New Jersey.Experience with surety, construction litigation, and/or insurance coverage matters is a plus.Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars.Skills:Excellent legal research and analytical skills.Strong oral and written communication abilities.Ability to handle a high caseload and work independently.Negotiation and mediation skills.Attention to detail and thoroughness in legal documentation.Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.Team player with the ability to collaborate with colleagues.Job Location: Roseland, NJ
