Practice Area: Employment Law - Litigation Employer Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in Coral Gables is seeking a Federal Employment Law Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience in complex federal employment-related litigation matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support, including case assessment, evidence gathering, witness preparation, and legal brief drafting, with a focus on maintaining compliance with relevant legal requirements. Duties:Develop detailed case assessments outlining strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations for litigation or settlement.Gather evidence to support the Government's defense in federal employment-related cases.Prepare witnesses to testify at hearings and assist in developing defense strategies.Handle all aspects of litigation, including responding to discovery motions, delivering opening statements, examining and cross-examining witnesses, presenting evidence, and making closing arguments.Draft post-trial legal briefs, conduct legal research, and compose legal documents as required.Prepare for potential appeals and recommend appeals or compliance alternatives as necessary.Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements, including EEOC Initial Orders, MSPB Acknowledgement Orders, and USDA regulations.Maintain an active U.S. Bar license in good standing and necessary security clearance throughout employment. Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex federal employment-related litigation matters.Previous superior experience with the EEOC, preferably as a former EEOC attorney.Active U.S. Bar license in good standing in any jurisdiction.Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Necessary security clearance for the role.
