A Family Practice Physician Traditional Practitioner practice is seeking a qualified physician for Presque Isle, ME. This and other physician jobs brought to you by ExactMD. Medical Doctors Only Apply. A Family Physician is sought to join the staff of the largest medical center in northern Maine. An acute care hospital with 89 licensed beds. This is an employed position with the largest primary care practice north of Bangor. You will join 20 other providers in this exceptional practice. This rare opportunity is the result of a physician retirement. If you are selected, you will provide outpatient only care to patients of all ages, while an excellent hospitalist team will handle inpatient care on your behalf. You will share a very comfortable call of 1:12. You may choose to work either a 4 day/week schedule, or five shorter days. The hospital is offering an exceptionally competitive base salary with easily obtainable bonuses, full hospital benefits, generous assistance with medical education debt - if appropriate, signing bonus, relocation assistance, full hospital benefits, cme budget, and much more. Northern Maine enjoys a beautiful four-season environment with a large variety of local recreational endeavors for the entire family. Presque Isle---s public schools are highly rated, particularly the #3 ranked High School in the county for students gifted in math and science. Branches of the University of Maine and Maine Community College system also have campuses in town. The multi-million dollar Recreation and Wellness Center has an indoor pool, climbing wall, and offers athletic programs for every family member. The Maine Winter Sports Center is a premier International cross-country skiing venue which hosts multiple International and World Cup events annually. The indoor ice rink is constantly filled with hockey and recreational ice skaters. Presque Isle has a regional airport with daily direct flights to Boston just 3 miles from the hospital. Many residents of Maine enjoy visiting Quebec City as it is an easy 4 hour drive northwest. Many head to Bangor, Maine---s 3rd largest city, just a 2 hours drive away. Bangor is home to an International airport, shopping malls, restaurants, museums, a first class casino, concerts and sporting events.
