Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities: --- Keep client files properly organized and up to date --- Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process --- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action --- Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients --- Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings Qualifications: --- Ability to successfully represent both plaintiff and defendant sides of a case --- At least 1-2 years of working in a law firm on family law issues as well as real estate (determining marital property) is necessary --- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations --- Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred --- Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required --- At least 5 years of family law experience or litigation experience About Company: We are a boutique family law firm offering our clients the highest quality of legal services.
