The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients in family and criminal proceedings while demonstrating proficiency in case management, communication, and legal research. They must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for client advocacy.Duties:Consult with prospective clients seeking legal representation in Family and Criminal matters.Represent clients in Family and Criminal proceedings with diligence and professionalism.Manage cases efficiently, ensuring timely filing of motions and other legal documents.Maintain regular communication with opposing counsel to facilitate case resolution.Utilize case management software to provide accurate reports to management and ensure accountability.Delegate tasks effectively, maximizing the productivity of attorney and legal assistant time.Meet individual and firm goals through independent and collaborative work efforts.Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members on trial advocacy techniques.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in Family and Criminal defense law.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law in Tennessee.Proficient in MS Office Suite, PDF, and Excel.Strong litigation experience with mediation, negotiations, legal research, and writing expertise.Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.Basic knowledge of immigration law and procedure.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus+.Genuine interest in working with immigrants and victims of trauma.Certifications and Skills:Proficient typing skills.Ability to analyze and research legal issues, providing recommendations for resolution.Strategic, forward-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.Strong desire to grow and advance within the firm.Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.Ability to collaborate effectively, build consensus, and influence outcomes.Embrace simplification and innovative opportunities.Strong desire to develop and mentor others on trial advocacy techniques.This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, providing impactful legal representation to needy clients.
