We are looking for a Facilities Manager to join our team in Germantown, MD! Day-to-Day Performs day-to-day operations, cleaning, maintenance, and alteration of office areas and office equipment including lab-related equipment, generators, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities. Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed. Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors Purchasing responsibilities include office and general lab (not study-specific) supplies. Maintain paperwork for shipping & FedEx Ensures equipment calibration is performed by outside vendors Planning for the future by forecasting the facility's upcoming needs and requirements Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs Any other related task/function requested by Management. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Required Education and Experience At least 3-5 years of laboratory facility management experience is preferred Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems Proficiency with repair tools and techniques Proficiency with organizing and prioritizing, attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality, communication skills, information management skills, problem-solving skills, teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures related to cGCP, cGMP, and/or cGTP is a plus
