Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District has an opening for Facilities Technician I-II in the District's Operations and Maintenance Departments. Job duties include: Repair and Maintenance of buildings including HVAC, equipment, grounds, & irrigation systems. Fleet Maintenance Repair/adjust/program irrigation equipment Maintenance/repair valves and pumps Work with utility trailers Assignments are primarily outdoors and require good physical condition to withstand hot summers, cold rainy winters, working conditions. Experience in construction and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance are also desirable. This position rotates on-call responsibilities (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Facilities Technician I: 1 year in construction/electrical/mechanical, industrial, portable pump, irrigation, or related experience. Facilities Technician II: 3 years in construction/electrical/mechanical, industrial, portable pump, irrigation, or related experience. HVAC experience is required, in addition to, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid California Driver License, and good driving record. Technicians must reside in the Fresno/Clovis area within 12 miles of the intersection of McKinley Avenue and First Street, the approximate center-point of the District's urban service area.
