Summary Description The Facilities Staff report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and indirectly to the Director of Facilities. As the Facilities Staff, this position will assist with the general basic maintenance of the physical plant. The work may require flexible working hours that include evening and weekend responsibilities. Primary Responsibilities Performs various physical duties as assigned. Moves, secure, installs, builds, loads, or unloads materials. Assist maintenance team in physical plant operations. Effectively use heavy and light equipment, depending on the job site/assignment. Complete task requests in a timely manner. Moving tools, equipment, or other material as directed in plans or by the supervisor. Assist contractors as needed. Perform work in any Jones Center building or property. Clean and organize facilities' work areas, warehouses, and any other facilities. Maintain equipment in the Community Park and structures. Follow proper safety procedures. Regularly check community spaces to identify safety and maintenance issues. Be a forklift/scissors lift spotter to act as a second pair of eyes and ears for the driver, stand near the machine, and feed information to the driver to ensure guests' safety. Maintain and uphold the policies and procedures. Require Skills and Experiences High School or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year of facility maintenance. About The Jones Center The Jones Center is a recreation, education, and event center for families in downtown Springdale, Arkansas The Jones Center boasts a year-round ice arena, junior-Olympic lap pool, activity pool with a slide, world-class bike park, basketball court, fitness center, indoor track, conference center, and chapel/auditorium. Our facility is home to regional youth sports such as the AquaHawgs swim team and the NWA Hockey Association as well as individual sports and activities like gymnastics, ballet, Taekwondo, and figure skating at affordable pricing for families. The Jones Center offers both memberships and scholarships, including free fitness classes such as Zumba, yoga, Silver Sneakers, synergy, and spin classes. Several other nonprofits organizations operate within our 220,000 sq. ft facility, including, Camp War Eagle and Hass Hall Academy. Our Purpose is to strengthen our community by serving families and nonprofits to enrich lives and celebrate all cultures. The Jones Center is a place for everyone to learn, play, and belong. The Jones Center is proud to provide a multigenerational, social, educational, and recreational facility where "all are welcome" in the heart of Northwest Arkansas. The Jones Trust owns and operates the center for Non-profits at the JTL shop on Emma and the Center for Non-profits at St. Mary's in Rogers, AR.
