DHM Properties is currently looking for a Facilities Service Worker to perform housekeeping duties for a local apartment community. DHM Properties is a large and growing Property Management Company headquartered in Albany, NY which currently manages and operates over 8,000 apartments throughout the NY, CT, MA and NH markets. What is the job? As a Facilities Service Worker, you a responsible for maintaining the appearance of the apartment community (s) to ensure a clean and safe environment for the residents. Duties include preparation and upkeep of apartments for market ready status, leasing office, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, parking lots and other community buildings of one or more multi-family residential apartments. Responsibilities include: (but are not limited to) Upkeep of leasing office, amenities, grounds, building exteriors, parking lots and other community buildings on a daily basis Assists in the preparation of market ready units during turnover periods, including cleaning as well as removing trash from vacant and/or model apartments Identifies and reports maintenance and appearance concerns for repairs or upkeep on apartments, models, garages, clubhouse and/or other common areas Assists maintenance staff when needed on "light" work orders such as replacing a light or fixing an exterior light as needed, repairing broken fences, cleaning exterior lights, light painting Assists leasing staff when needed such as delivering notices to residents, tagging broken- down cars on property and other light duties assigned Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in cleaning/grounds keeping Ensures proper inventory control and upkeep of grounds/cleaning equipment and supplies Maintains and cleans apartment community pool (s) Assists and unloads deliveries Performs snow removal duties and salting of property (s) as needed Other duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills and Experience : --- 1-3 years' experience in housekeeping preferred --- Ability to work independently and in a team environment --- Knowledge of and ability to operate cleaning and grounds equipment --- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with managers, co-workers, vendors and residents sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give or receive work direction --- Attention to detail and quality control under timelines --- Initiative to identify and to positively solve problems within established processes --- Effective communication and interpersonal skills --- Ability to be at work regularly and on time Must have valid driver's license & clean driving record Reliable transportation required Ability to work weekends or extended hours as required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- --- Constant need to be on feet; bend, stoop, squat; climb stairs, push or pull, reach above shoulder, climb ladders, grasp/grip/turning; finger dexterity; writing; shoveling; lifting/carry in the performance of duties --- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted DHM Properties competitive wages and benefits, including: health, dental, voluntary life, paid holidays and paid time off, and a company paid Employee Assistance Program.
