Req ID: 6463 Department: Operations Status: Reg F-T Exempt, Exempt Location: Lodi, California (US-CA) Workplace Location: On-Site Job Summary: To supervise and organize maintenance of production facilities, site utilities, and buildings at the Lodi facility. Essential Functions: The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Leadership: Facilitates the development of an empowered work team and mentors team members Promotes a culture of innovation and process improvement Collaborates with other department leaders and works to solve problems Develops a cohesive team through interpersonal skills and leading by example Manages and implements the required training of team and ensures adherence to all policies, procedures and governmental regulations. Manages and implements career planning and personal development of staff. Manages and ensures annual performance reviews are effective and completed on time. Manages disciplinary actions for direct reports. Responsible for the selection of top talent and on the job training for new hires and coaching for top performance. Manages and ensures adherence to Company policies and team standards. Communications : Manages all TFE Communications with weekly staff meetings Ensures smooth and effective shift turnovers Provides timely communication to team regarding company and departmental updates, opportunities, events, etc. Communicates effectively through email, phone or face-to-face. Effectively presents topics to a group audience of direct reports, peers or upper management. Safety Management: Facilitates a safety culture of accountability and engagement Ensures adherence to all TFE Safety Programs Ensures all timely safety training, hazardous awareness and general housekeeping and documentation updated in LMS Accountable for understanding and ensuring compliance with the Food and Quality Management System, including the ISO Food Safety & Quality Policy Responsible for understanding Quality Management System related activities, including the quality policy and ISO awareness Food Safety Responsibility: Report problems with the food safety management system to Manager Administrative: Manage time and attendance in an accurate and timely manner Manage work schedules (ensures lunch and breaks) Assist with labor planning needs for the maintenance department and responsible for selection of top talent Manage work orders through the work order system Interact with vendors and assist in the correct ordering of parts to support maintenance work orders Operations: Manage the training, advancement, safety and evaluation of the maintenance team Continuously improve processes within the maintenance function to drive out waste and improve the work Supervise and direct the daily work of the maintenance team in all activities Schedule work orders and job assignments for the maintenance crew Training: Manages training and development of the employees through identification of training needs and follows through to accomplish desired results Ability to have a hands-on approach to the maintenance work performed on a daily basis. Complete special projects as directed Oversee maintenance of production equipment, buildings, utilities, forklifts, vehicles, and refrigeration equipment Maintain potable water systems Plan jobs, projects and equipment for repair and maintenance Supervise installation of new equipment Qualifications : Education: Technical or College degree preferred Years of Experience: 5 or more years previous experience in production maintenance at multiple facilities and supervision of staff (winemaking industry preferred) Experience and working knowledge of electrical systems and ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC preferred Language: Bi-lingual preferred Experience with SQF, ISO, and LEAN manufacturing preferred Strong mechanical aptitude Valid California driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean DMV record Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to communicate effectively and work well with other employees "team player" Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through with projects Excellent organizational and time management skills Proactive in addressing problems for positive results Process oriented with focus on continuous improvement Work independently without Supervision, as well as part of large groups and teams. Strong Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) to write reports Accurately carry out written and verbal instructions Proven track record of working safe, efficient and in cooperative manner Stay current with changes in the maintenance procedures and techniques Support and model all Company policies and procedures Background in fabrication, welding, electrical, plumbing, auto repair and/or other related mechanical fields preferred Working Conditions: Moderate to heavy physical work Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day) Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses Exposure to various chemicals in production areas Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment Long and irregular hours during peak periods or on various shifts Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds Salary Range: $87,700.00 - $162,900.00 The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
