Fabricator - Second Shift

Fabricator Job Summary Responsible for the fabrication of various metal parts through various processes and/or heat methods, including brazing, cutting, soldering, deburring, or other techniques. Position is Second Shift which is Monday through Thursday 1:30 to 2:00 PM until 12:00 to 12:30 AM leaving a three day weekend. Overtime may be available on Friday during first shift or Saturday mornings. Description Consults blueprints, work orders, and/or schematics to safely construct specified structure; develops additional sketches if needed. Selects appropriate material, technique, and tool(s) for each job based on job specifications and requirements. Cuts, bends, and shapes metal to required dimensions. Measures, cuts, and welds pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directions. Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws. Performs assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending gutters. Uses appropriate machinery and software applications to complete assigned jobs. Coordinates with other process owners to ensure seamless transition of the production process. Uses discretion and sound judgement skills to make independent, task-specific decisions. Ensures work practices are compliant with all OSHA and ISO standards. Ensures proper utilization of required PPE and task-specific tools and equipment to ensure the highest level of safety for self and others. Maintains a safe, clean and orderly workspace. Follows all company and job-specific safety rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned, such as operating a machine or other related tasks. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics to understand product assignment. Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation. Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment. Ability to complete fabrication projects with accuracy and precision. Ability to safely use machinery and tools involved in sheet metal work. Demonstrated ability to operate independently with little to no direct oversight or supervision. Demonstrated use of discretion and sound judgement skills to make task-specific decisions. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to demonstrate required proficiency level/competency to successfully perform job.
