Ethos is looking for an experienced Field Investigator in New Orleans LA The Field Investigator performs both surveillance and claims investigations for clients who suspect fraudulent insurance claims. Applicants must have an extremely flexible work schedule. This is an industry wide requirement as cases often require odd hours, to include early mornings, weekdays, weekends, evening hours and occasional holidays. The ideal candidate must own a well-maintained vehicle, a window based laptop and a video camera.In addition to conducting surveillance the Field investigator may also conduct interviews with individuals that may have knowledge of the claim. This position also drafts reports, uploads documents, video, and audio files into the case management system from the information that was collected during the investigation. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct covert field surveillance via both stationary and mobile surveillance. Conduct scene investigations, interviews, recorded statements, etc. Obtaining professional quality video and photographic documentation of subjects. Draft thorough, detailed investigative reports. Upload video and photographic evidence as well as surveillance reports to our claims system. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Military or Law Enforcement. Private Investigator or detective experience. Proven history in a closely related field. SKILLS Possess strong computer and internet skills. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. LICENCES/CERTIFICATIONS/INSURANCE Valid state-issued driver's license. Current auto insurance. Private Investigator license were necessary. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: (must possess all below items or purchase items after being hired) A reliable vehicle. Cellular telephone. Laptop computer. Internet connection.
