Seasonal Public Works Laborer Job Type : Teamsters Union Position Compensation: $19.01/Hourly Department: Public Works Department Location: 4975 DeMoss Road Deadline to apply : Until Filled Position Summary: Exeter Township is seeking hardworking, reliable individuals to work the summer seasonal program which typically runs from mid-May to end of August. Ideal candidates enjoy working with the public, working outdoors, working with their hands, and helping to keep the parks and roads in our community clean and orderly. General Duties : Perform general labor duties to support public works projects, including but not limited to road maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep. Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure, such as roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems. Operate and maintain hand and power tools, as well as small construction equipment. Participate in seasonal activities, including snow removal, leaf collection, and other weather-related tasks. Support community events and projects as needed. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Working Conditions: Work is medium to heavy, involving lifting and carrying objects weighing over 50 pounds. Manual dexterity and motor coordination are required for the variety of tasks performed. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme hot temperatures. Minimum Requirements: Valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience in manual labor or related field is a plus. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in public works maintenance. Must wear steel tip shoes.
