About the Role Workday's Employee & Executive Communications team is looking for a curious and creative Executive Communications Lead who thrives on challenging the status quo - considering new ways to deliver information. You will define and lead the external communications strategy for Workday's Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), partnering with key stakeholders across the company to drive thought leadership and build presence for Workday in the market. You will also drive strategic global employee communications for the CMO, weaving a common thread that engages, aligns, and inspires Workmates around our company's story, strategy and key business priorities. The Executive Communications Lead will be a critical member of the broader Global Corporate Communications team. About You Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the CMO and key stakeholders to create and drive an external thought leadership platform that pushes the boundaries - identifying and supporting appropriate activities such as media briefings, customer-facing events, industry speaking opportunities, blogs, and more.Plan, write, edit, and distribute a variety of global strategic employee-focused communications for the Marketing organization and for all Workmates globally, such as broad-reaching campaigns and initiatives, internal speaking engagements, video scripts, etc.Be a strategic adviser to the CMO on messaging, tone and speaker delivery, leveraging humor and fun to engage and informEstablish and track metrics that show the impact of external and employee communications on employee engagement, productivity, and organization performance.Partner across Corporate Communications, Marketing and other parts of the organization to help cultivate the brand voice of Workday, ensuring alignment of messages and narratives and a consistent brand experience. Basic Qualifications: 10+ years working in Corporate Communications, including executive communications experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-tech company.Proven success developing and executing strategic internal and external communications across a spectrum of channels - especially Slack; experience with event production and support is preferred.Prior experience leading communications for a CMO is preferredOutstanding writing and editing skills and the ability to distill complex information into clear, concise messaging; ability to write in a simple, direct, warm and friendly tone.Creative thinker with a high degree of flexibility; problem solver and self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with strong project management skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities at one time.Track record of collaborating and forging strong relationships with executives; client service mindset and consultative approach is key.Experience with change management and communicating key initiatives across multiple internal target audiences. Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
