Role: Evidence Management Officer Salary: £12.18 per hour Contract: 6 months or more As an Evidence Management Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient processing of all evidential property received by the police. You will meticulously manage the security, storage, and disposal of evidential property while providing a high-quality service to both external and internal customers. Key Responsibilities: Take full accountability for the management, continuity, and safety of all physical evidence held within the Evidence Management Unit EMU. Attend court proceedings, when required, to account for evidential property in support of various prosecutions and civil proceedings backss, prepare, and dispose of property in strict accordance with legislation, policy, and procedural guidelines outlined in the Evidence Portal. This includes banking cash and creating manifests for the disposal of dangerous and/or illegal items of property. Ensure compliance with random audits conducted by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner OPCC, the Professional Standards Department PSD, and the Criminal Justice Senior Management Team.
