Introducing IFI, and why you want to be an Event & Trip Coordinator with us: International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whose mission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips. Expected work schedule for the Event & Trip Coordinator : Full- or part-time, flexible schedule Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects Attendance at several conferences each year, including IFI Staff Retreats Pay structure for an Event & Trip Coordinator : Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners Pay range is typically between $12.00 to $17.75 per hour after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors Event & Trip Coordinator Benefits : Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible) Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staff Flexible hours and work-from-home availability Work for a growing Christian organization Staff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staff Responsibilities of an Event & Trip Coordinator Coordinate with IFI ministry locations to identify, plan, and coordinate student trips Direct student trips with a location Coordinate with the National team to plan, coordinate, and execute conferences and retreats Coordinate presentation rooms and audiovisual equipment, arrange for event decor, security/risk management, and manage budgets with assistance from Operations and HR Establish relationships with vendors, churches, local host families, and community members to maximize IFI funds and optimize participant experience Draft manuals for IFI student trips with possible activities, itineraries and estimated expenses, logistics, vendor list, and contact info Have a personal campus ministry impact by offering/hosting trips, events, or activities locally Qualifications needed of an Event & Trip Coordinator, including Spiritual Characteristics Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend God' s love extended globally out of reverence for Jesus Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player Ability to work under stress and be flexible Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications Ability to hold themselves and others accountable Education/Experience Preferred for an Event & Trip Coordinator: At least two years of volunteer or paid experience in travel/hospitality field Degree or certification in Travel/Hospitality preferred Cross-cultural experience preferred International Friendships, Inc.
