Ermak Foundry in Chaska, MN is looking to hire a full-time Evening Shift Metal Casting / Foundry Operator to melt metals and create castings from molds. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EVENING SHIFT METAL CASTING / FOUNDRY OPERATOR As an entry-level Evening Shift Metal Casting / Foundry Operator, you play a role in helping our foundry produce high-quality parts. Specifically, you inspect and create sand molds to form metal castings for certain parts, such as those with fine exterior details or inner cores. With a strong eye for detail, you closely inspect every pattern and mold to find potential defects. You skillfully and safely operate both manual and automatic molding machines to make the sand molds. When the next job is ready, you swap out the mold patterns. You take pride in doing your part to help our company produce top-grade materials. Plus, you enjoy being part of a company that offers opportunities to cross-train in any position you are interested in . QUALIFICATIONS Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting 30+ pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time High school diploma or equivalent U.S. citizen or documented resident 18+ years old No experience is required as we will train the right candidate !
