As a Business Intelligence Developer / BI Developer , reporting to the Director of Software Development, you will work with a team to implement and maintain BI solutions, perform testing tasks, be involved with the design, and maintain documentation. You must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and may be engaged in multiple projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of a highly productive team of seasoned technical professionals. Position expectations: Designs specifications and standards for semantic layers and multi-dimensional models for complex business intelligence projects based on user requirements. Contributes to project proposal preparation and estimation and then participates in the completion of the development. Cultivate long-term strategic goals for BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Take a primary role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of complex business intelligence solutions. Lead the integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications. Test and document all new or modified BI systems, applications, and programs. Assist in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions. Follow ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system. Provides technical support to end users and peers. You will need: Project experience of four years or more in BI development (data integration, data analysis, report writing, and dashboard creation). Experienced with Microsoft SQL database languages and technologies. Specifically T-SQL, SSAS, Tabular modeling, SSIS, SSRS, DAX, MDX. Experienced with maintaining a Power BI environment. Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server database and data warehouse design. Experienced in developing reports and visualizations with SQL Server Reporting Services report builder, Power BI builder apps, and Power BI service. Deep understanding of Power BI Pipeline, data analysis techniques, writing and debugging SQL queries, and working with various relational databases and disparate data sources. Experienced with SSIS or other ETL integration technologies. Familiar with Azure database, BI, and integration technologies. Familiar with the full development life cycle and Agile/SCRUM methodologies. Familiar with programming concepts, best practices, and change control procedures.
