Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Provide instruction in a clinical setting with emphasis on on-the-job clinical skills. Provide supervision of Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide students in the clinical setting. Promote a positive and desirable atmosphere to facilitate optimal student progress. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state the center is located. Must have two or more years of nursing experience and at least one or more years of experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill in a long-term care facility, such as a rehabilitation center or nursing home. Train the Trainer Certification needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective organizational skills Effective interpersonal skills Classroom instruction and curriculum development Must be confidential Licenses or Certificates: RN Certification State Teacher's Certificate preferred. Must have or acquire Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid.
