Tubular Steel, a member of the Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. family of companies, is a leading national distributor of carbon, alloy, and stainless steel pipe, tubing, and bar products. We are currently recruiting for 2nd shift Equipment Operator/Material Handlers for our warehouse in Hazelwood, MO. 2nd shift will work 2:15pm to 10:45pm, Monday through Friday and weekend overtime as needed. Responsibilities include: Operating 7.5 ton overhead crane; Operating large forklifts; Steel cutting equipment; General duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience in a warehouse/manufacturing/industrial environment; Ability to read a tape measure and complete basic math calculations; Good basic computer skills; Experience operating a forklift and other industrial equipment' Regular attendance is required. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The individual is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. The individual is occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance. Applicants must be available for shift work on all shifts. Compensation is paid at union scale.
