Individual RESUMES without a completed City employment application WILL NOT be accepted. The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Equipment Operator II in the Solid Waste Department. The incumbent performs skilled work in safely operating front-end loading sanitation equipment and/or over-the-road sanitation tractor-trailer equipment either on a commercial sanitation route or between the sanitary landfill and the transfer station. High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area plus 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in the operation of a front-end packer and/or experience in the operation of a tractor-trailer tandem and backhoe required. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. Employee must meet City insurance standards. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening. Starting Salary: $19.2091/hr. w/Benefits.
