Stable high-technology company, fun-loving team members401(k), Profit Sharing, PTO, Vision, Dental, Health, HolidaysClose to BART and light railProud to be 100% vaccinatedWe are currently hiring an Equipment Maintenance Technician (Day Shift/Swing Shift/Split Shift) Primary Responsibilities: Performs PMs on critical equipment and facilities items on-time (per the PM schedule)Responds to equipment and facilities requests for repairs including:Per LM-2001and Maintenance databasePlumbingOffice equipment (e.g., furniture, shredders, etc., but does not include any IT equipment)Updates requests for repairs in the Maintenance databaseCompletes follow-up actions in a timely mannerClearly identifies "down" or "limited use" equipmentKeep internal customers informed of estimated repair time and equipment statusGenerates purchase requisitions and item mastersWorks with suppliers to repair and maintain equipmentMaintains work areas, tools, and spare parts in a systematic, organized, and clean fashionAssists with furniture and fixture assembly as assignedFollows work instructions and procedures and recommends improvementsEscalates requests for repairs as neededAssembles BOMs for equipmentServes as back up on basic facility maintenance including routine electric floor scrubber, dust/damp mopping, vacuuming, etc.Maintain and continuously improve competence by reading, training, and educationOther job duties assigned Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications: Minimum AA or AS degree in Mechanical, Elector-Mechanical or Electrical engineeringMinimum of 4 years of experience automated equipment assembly, facilities repair, line maintenance, or field service, 6-years plus preferredKnowledge of various facility equipment and systems requiredAbility to read, comprehends, and executes assembly or work instructions, equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagramsFork lift and scissor lift driver certification a plusExperience in HVAC, plumbing (taping, lubricating, and fitting assembly), electrical, and CDA equipment maintenance and repair a plusOccasionally lift up to 25 lbs., and stand/lift/push throughout the day This position is a contract-to-hire position and requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations. Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. a Green Card Holder).
