Title: Environmental & Safety Law Paralegal Location: Houston, TX Hybrid Contract Length: 6+ Months Job ref# 234875 Job Description: * The Environmental & Safety Law Paralegal will perform delegated paralegal tasks under the guidance and direction of attorneys, including but not limited to* Conducting factual research on environmental and property issues* Conducting legal research and analysis on environmental regulations and laws* Reviewing and analyzing environmental and legal reports* Drafting contracts and correspondence* Serving as a liaison with business clients and legal teams* Issue spotting and communicating risks to business clients and attorneys* Multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to consistently provide high-quality work product in a high growth and fast-paced work environment. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree* Five plus (5+) years of paralegal experience* Regulatory, environmental and/or real property experience* Strong communication skills (both oral and written), including demonstrated writing ability. Must be able to communicate effectively across broad functional and organizational lines* Team values and a customer service approach* Strong organizational skills* Demonstrated judgment* Ability to maintain high quality performance with competing deadlines* Demonstrated analytical abilities and research skills* Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and initiative; and* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, as well as legal research and matter management applications (including Lexis/Nexis). Preferred Qualifications: * Paralegal certificate from ABA-approved program* Qualities of a highly motivated self-starter capable of working in a team environment and collaborating with in-house counsel, outside counsel, clients, and staff; and* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.PDN-9bcd56d5-0478-48a0-9244-29029c10877f
