Sheakley is hiring an EHS Manager for our client in Tampa, FL. Our client has an open EHS position overseeing work on airport trolly at airports (Atlanta, DC, Orlando, Miami, Tampa). CLIENT IS ONLY OPEN TO CANDIDATES LOCAL TO THE TAMPA, FL AREA Compensation Package: $80-90k Staffing Type: Full-Time Direct Hire Scope of Work: EHS Location: Tampa, FL Project Hours/Schedule: M-F 40Hrs/WK The candidate can work partially remotely. The candidate works with/on APM systems (Automated People Mover Systems). These are the trains/trolleys at airports. Any experience working with APM systems and/or airport maintenance is preferred. Client prefers someone with some workers comp experience to assist with return to work services and injuries Perks: 25% travel Travel is expected 1 week out of a month.Company computer, cell phone, credit cardJob security- Airport trollys aren't going anywhereNew position so they can help build the safety culture with their influence S ummary : The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager ensures that our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. The EHS Manager oversees that our environment, health, and safety meet internal and external customer expectations. Evaluates the environment, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards. Responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on environment, health, and safety matters. Be well-versed in legal guidelines, corporate governance, and safety best practices. Possess high ethical standards and result-oriented, keeping in mind the objectives of the business. Works to find deficiencies, understand the causes of deficiencies and provide solutions to mitigate future problems. The goal is to protect the employees, customers, the environment, and assets, provide a quality atmosphere and to preserve the company's integrity by making sure it stays on a lawful and ethical course. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and oversee environment, health, and safety compliance control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies. Ensure legal and ethical integrity of the company is intact through policy enforcement and program planning. Responsible for keeping up to date with environment, health, and safety regulatory developments as well as evolving best practices that affect the company. Collaborate with executive management to ensure strategies are in place to address environment, health, and safety compliance concerns. Responsible for identifying hidden risks and, or non-conformity issues, creating and enforcing environment, health, and safety compliance plans of action. Draft, modify, implement, and periodically review company environment, health, and safety policies. Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible environment, health, and safety risks. Prepare environment, health, and safety documentation and reports (by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends) for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate. Train and manage line staff in environment, health, and safety compliance practices. Analyze existing environment, health, and safety techniques for inconsistencies and redundancy. Create and implement change to improve current processes and reduce costs. Research and gather client and customer feedback for ways to improve services. Plans, implements, and conducts preventative care and safety training programs. Conducts audits and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow up assessments. Serve as primary contact for environment, injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintains and improves safety by completing company, system, and compliance audits. Meets financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling, and maintaining expenditures. Participates in team meetings and provides regular on-site presence. Other duties may include: Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed maintaining required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies. Lead and/or participate in projects or task force groups which focus on issues. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in environment, health, and safety. In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping. A business acumen partnered with a dedication to environment, health, and safety. Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities. An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations. Proficient in computer technology and systems. Excellent communication skills, able to positively influence others. BS/BA in engineering, business administration, business management, industrial science or statistics, or related field. Certified compliance, EHS, quality professional is a plus. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Knowledge , S kills , and Ability required : Prior APM/transportation experience preferred. Prior project management and/or quality control experience required. Must be able to secure and maintain airport security clearance. Must be able to pass post offer criminal background check. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English language Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Japanese language preferred. Education: BS/BA in Environmental Health and Safety, or related field. Certified compliance, EHS, quality professional is a plus. *CMSI requires copy of acquired degree and or certification prior to the employment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Domestic travel is 25%+.
