Brayman Construction Corporation in Bluestone, WV is actively seeking a dependable full-time Entry Level Construction Surveyor to construction survey and layout on bridges, dams, highways, foundations, geotechnical projects and other related heavy civil industrial projects with minimal supervision from the Survey Manager. The Entry Level Construction Surveyor will be based in Bluestone, WV. Regular and frequent travel to job sites will be necessary. This mostly include travel within Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION SURVEYOR In this Entry Level Construction Surveyor role, you will oversee project specific survey needs and ensure project components are built to the correct dimensions in the correct location. You ensure that the information provided by both the owner and the designer is correct and that the existing conditions match that which is shown in the project documents. You will use your knowledge of the latest surveying equipment and techniques; you are part field management and part quality control. You provide actual project surveying and layout when required. Working with the Survey Manager, you help ensure the project survey equipment is up to date, serviced regularly and maintained. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CONSTRUCTION SURVEYOR To be successful in this position you do not need to have any professional surveying experience, although it is helpful. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field is preferred. 0-5 years of professional Surveying experience. LSIT, CST or Professional Survey licensure is preferred. Experience with GPS based survey development and layout is preferred. Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred. Experience with heavy highway and bridge construction is preferred. Are you proficient with computerized mapping technologies and surveying instruments, and the computer applications and software used to process field data?
