Description:
Development new and improve current manufacturing processes and product to support the facilities and customer needs. Develops, schedules, reviews new and/or replacement equipment business cases based on the current business needs. Evaluates & improves manufacturing processes by designing and conducting data analysis; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Develops reports for data analysis and implements data collection software(s). Understand design principles for design for manufacturability, machining, and 3-D printing. Design, develop, and test new work cells including stand alone and automated workstations. Provides engineering technical support and hands on training/mentoring Continuous improvement of engineering activities in providing timely, accurate, and responsive engineering support to internal and external customers Willingness to pursue learning opportunities to maintain technical and practical expertise REQUIREMENTS 1. Proficient in Project Management and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 2. Experience in mechanical design and developing manufacturing concepts from product designs. 3. Experience using Enterprise Software, Data Collection Systems, AUTOCAD, and Creo 5.0 or equivalent 3D CAD system. 4. Experience in SLA/FDM 3-D printing concept designs. 5. High degree of flexibility and ability to work with multiple and changing priorities. 6. Understanding of PLC, Robotic, and Machine Vision Programming. 7. Strong decision making, organizational and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to overcome unforeseen obstacles 8. Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent experience) 9. Willing to travel occasionally with overnight stays.
