We are looking for a motivated Engineering Project Manager, who enjoys designing and managing projects in the private and public sectors, to join our team in our Rochelle, Illinois, office. We are interested in talented, trustworthy and skilled people who are passionate about providing personalized attention to our clients. What you'll do While you will work on many engineering projects, you will be asked to develop and grow our engineering services by pursuing and creating business opportunities. You will manage and provide work to direct reports to maintain billable utilization. You'll develop scope, schedule and budget for projects. You'll prepare proposals and sell services to retain and obtain clients. You will direct production of drawings by CAD technicians and engineers. We promote a team environment, so you'll work with fellow engineers, environmental scientists and many more people. And you'll develop leadership skills that build autonomy. What it takes We're looking for someone with a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering. If you have seven or more years of experience in civil design and project management, preferably at a professional consulting firm, then we're interested. You should be a licensed professional engineer or demonstrate the ability to secure licensure shortly after starting employment. You should have a strong knowledge of site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water supply systems and roadway design for residential, commercial and industrial sites. You should speak and write well. And you should have strong analytical and organizational skills. You must be a team player.
