Hendrickson is the leading global manufacturer and supplier of heavy-duty mechanical, elastomeric and air suspensions; integrated and non-integrated axle systems; parabolic and multi-leaf springs; bumper and trim components to the global commercial transportation system. Our engineering department seeks the interest of engineering students desiring an internship beginning in May of 2024. Duties will be in support of manufacturing operations with an emphasis on preventive and predictive maintenance. Work performed will be at plant-level in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, consisting of a Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, work schedule. Primary duties include:Help support manufacturing operations by participating in maintenance engineering activitiesAdminister the preventive maintenance systemAssist with equipment and machine troubleshooting to include involvement with PLCs and other controlsSupport fixture and tooling upgrades for welding processesAssist in developing bar coding and data traceabilityParticipate in continuous improvement initiativesREQUIREMENTSCollege level engineering student with a qualifying GPAAbility to operate industrial power toolsHands-on experience with CAD/CAM technology (ProE or Creo preferred)Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writingJob experience working with others as a member of a teamKnowledge of PLCsFamiliarity with robotic systemsKnowledge of hydraulic and pneumaticsAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environmentHendrickson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
