Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Senior Engineer to manage projects and client relationships in New York and New England. This position requires a presence within the New York and New England area to manage and oversee project work. Who You Are A licensed Professional Engineer with a BS and a minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering within a structural, mechanical, electrical, or geotechnical engineering discipline. Relationship-focused: Ability to establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction. Knowledgeable: Experience working in the field with clients and contractors during planning and construction of projects. The candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills to manage projects and clients. Design experience with dams or hydroelectric facilities is preferred. Project Manager: Experience working on all aspects of large, complex projects , working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment. Additional Requirements Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States and able to acquire authorization to work in Canada Must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license About the Position The position includes a combination of project, people, and client relationship management for unique engineering design projects for retrofits and rehabilitation efforts at existing dams and hydroelectric projects.
