General Accountabilities: •Proactive, prompt and effective technical support of applications, databases and networks used to operate the Ontario power system, including after-hours on-call support. •Coordinate, backss, analyze, specify, design, improve, fix, deploy, install, integrate, upgrade, configure, validate, test, and document resilient, clustered, cross-site, highly-availablility applications and databases. •Ensure that system/application/database designs comply with security policies relating to access control, data protection, information technology/processes/procedures, system monitoring and security event detection, resiliency planning, and incident response/recovery. •Champion Agile, Dev Ops, and Git Ops best practices. •Perform other duties as required. Selection Criteria: •Proficiency in Power Shell, Bash, Python, Git Lab, CI/CD, Dev Ops, SQL, Ansible, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, and automated testing. •Demonstrated record of self-motivated behavior and perseverance to accomplish objectives in spite of obstacles. •Demonstrated ability to coordinate work, and work in a team environment. •Professional level of oral and written communication skills. Essential Competencies: •Requires 4-year university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent. •Demonstrated leadership skills, strong communication skills, problem-solving skills,.
