Practice Area: ERISA/Executive Compensation Transactions & Compliance,ERISA - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 5 Years, A law firm in Austin is seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to provide counsel to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Duties:Counsel employers on a wide range of ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.Advise on compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to employee benefits.Draft and review plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and other legal documents.Assist with plan administration issues, including IRS and DOL audits.Provide guidance on benefit plan design and implementation.Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting employee benefits. Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.5+ years of experience practicing as an Employee Benefits Attorney.Demonstrated expertise in counseling employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans.Strong written and oral communication skills. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active membership in the State Bar. Skills:Comprehensive understanding of ERISA and non-ERISA employee benefit plans.Ability to provide strategic advice to employers on benefits-related matters.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with health, dental, vision, and other employee benefit programs is a plus.
